The new SIMON Workdesk shows modern design whilst still having the traditional SIMON Workdesk feel.

# Layouts

Schools will have access to 4 inbuilt layouts. These are not customisable.

Click on the staff photo and Layouts on the top right.

# Work Desk Components

## Welcome Widget

This card will show basic user details and information for Daily Messages

Students will also see information on tasks in the form of a counter.

- Students will have access to Daily Messages.
  - Student Calendar view
  - Access to School Timetables
  - Weather and Sun Smart App

## General Widget

The user panel will replace multiple cards, allowing access to organised data.

Students will have Four (4) tabs available. 

- Calendar
- School Links
- Daily Messages
- Class Resources

### Calendar

User view of their personal calendar overlaid with the school timetable and events involving the user,

Users can jump to lesson plans or class homes for given classes and see timetabled tasks.


### School Links

Access to school-moderated links, for example, links relevant to students at the school

### Daily Messages

The user will have access to the daily messages tab, providing the ability to read all relevant daily messages and, as a staff member, possibly add Daily messages of their own.

### Class Resources

The user will have access to the Class Resources tab, which will allow students to see the status of tasks, classes, and other key information like tasks overdue and submitted results.

## Timetable Widget

This card shows the staff members' daily timetable, which should match the data in the calendar view.

Blue Icon - Class Landing Page     

Purple Lesson Icon - Shows that the class has active lessons.  


## Upcoming Widget

The Actions card highlights for the user key tasks/events occurring; this will include tasks (overdue and upcoming, next class, and School Activities.  
This data feed is personalised to the user logged in.
